For the most part, i have no time for it, in particular all the fake-gangsta pop-hop rubbish polluting the airwaves. some old stuff such as souls of mischief was interesting, but nowadays i love the streets and aussie hip-hoppers hilltop hoods

but for the most part it sucks, imo

most hip hop is "EGO" music
psychedelic music wants to provide a space of EGO NULLIFICATION

thanks for the tip audioassasin!
8)

I actually grew up in USSR and death metal and punk rock was the only alternative culture in my life. After relocating to western Europe -- the only hip-hop/ rap i see is on TV, which is in majority as you rightly pointed out is commercial garbage or "eye candy" Not exactly encouraging to look for its history.

Do you even know what you are talking about?

You're talking about what you see on MTV. That ain't hip hop, that's sellout pop.

Have you ever listened to real underground rap?
Lyrics - total nonsense? You have to educate yourself some more before saying things like that. Please.

I didn't get offended, I just think this ain't the way to discuss music, because as you say it isn't creative I would suggest you try and make a freestyle on a random beat and see how "easy" it is.

No need for apology, just don't talk about the whole music as if it was all the same. As in every genre there is good and there is bad.

Not that I'm a huge rap fan, but I gotta say some of those underground artists really blow me away with their lyrics.
