Here is my review of Screams of Nature:
The long awaited new compilation has arrived! D-A-R-K Records once again sets the standard for dark-psy with the new cd, 'Screams of Nature'. A compilation containing ten slammin' tracks designed to melt the dancefloor. This compilation also sees Electrypnose returning to work his magic on the mastering.
The CD opens with the track 'Aghushi' by Khooman, a dark and hypnotic mind trip full of strange voices. Next up is Psybetyarok with the track 'Attack of the Mutant'. The track picks up the pace and contains brilliant high frequency synth work. Track 3 is 'Bigtitspatrol' by Neo Vox. This track would make an excellent DJ set intro. Kundalini Project brings the title track 'Screams of Nature', a pulse-pounding journey into the dark realm. Malice in Wonderland comes full force with the track 'Run Away'. Featuring a thick bassline, this track will force everyone out on the dancefloor. Track 6 belongs to Oxidelic with the track 'Kiselina'. This highly textured track is very dark and hypnotic. Karash brings the track 'FLNJ', the beginning is bouncy and then turns hard and thick, containing excellent atmoshere. Track 8 is 'Swardless' by Gain Reduction. The amazing synthwork is sure to mess with your head, don't be suprised if this gets played everywhere! TAS follows it up with 'Stoned', another great track for an intro. The driving beats and synth will get your blood flowing. The closing track is 'Join Us', by SEKT. Prepare for battle, because this track starts the head-drilling at 159 BPM!
With tracks ranging from 142 to 159 BPM, this compilation is sure to fill up the dancefloors and wreck your brain. D-A-R-K Records pulls out all the stops and proves once a again they are a force to be reckoned with.
